On embracing my contradictions

There is something a little reassuring about accepting your contradictions, I think. Walking the same narrow path day after day becomes exhausting sooner than you think. But afterwards he said that he had a nice time and he leaned in and I gave him a hug.

I got emancipation because of an abusive parent; they were not against us the social workers gave us such a hard time making sure our home and life were perfect but maybe that was just their job.
